TWD Designed Pre-Piling Template for Heerema

Jan De Nul Group awarded Heerema Marine Contractors the contract for the installation of 84 piles and 21 jackets for the Changhua Offshore Wind Farm of Taiwan Power Company, located along the West Coast of Taiwan. To perform the pre-piling of the jackets, TWD engineers proudly supported Heerema with the design of the pre-piling template.

In line with Heerema’s procurement and fabrication schedule, TWD engineers succeeded in supporting Heerema in the joint effort of designing a fit-for-purpose piling template, meeting all the project’s functional requirements. Building on in-house expertise, and in close cooperation with Heerema, a robust and efficient sub-sea installation tool has been jointly realized. Heerema’s heavy lift vessel Aegir is currently deploying the template which ensures the swift and accurate installation of the project’s 84 pin-piles.
