The Akita Noshiro Offshore Wind Project is Japan’s first commercial-scale offshore wind project. Currently, preassembly work is under progress at Akita Port, and the sixth tower out of the 33 turbines is being preassembled. Planning to start installation at sea from June, all the work is being carried out smoothly with safety as the priority.
On April 26, 2022, #Vestas Offshore Service Technicians of Akita Noshiro site paid a courtesy call on Mayor Shigenobu Saito of Noshiro City and talked about our readiness and enthusiasm to start servicing to the very first offshore wind farm in Japan.
