Petroamazonas Appoints New General Manager

The Board of Directors of Petroamazonas EP appointed Juan Carlos Bermeo as the new General Manager of the public company, replacing Lenin Pozo, who has been in office since October 2019.

Juan Carlos Bermeo is a Civil Engineer, from the National Polytechnic School. He has two postgraduate degrees in Mediation and Environmental Conflict Resolution and Sustainable Development. In addition, he has a Master’s degree in Integrated Management Systems and a Diploma course in Energy and Environment.

The new Manager has 39 years of professional experience in the public and private sector in consulting and project execution, environmental management and drilling, among other aspects related to the hydrocarbon and hydraulic industries .

Petroamazonas mentioned that the new Manager will continue to work hand in hand with efficiency, service and transparency, aligned with the National Government’s axes, to ensure that the objectives of this management are met, allowing develop the country’s hydrocarbon resources , in a responsible and sustainable way.
