Global Wind Service Opens Business Unit in Spain
Wind turbine installation and service company Global Wind Service (GWS) opens a new business unit in Spain. The office is located in the city centre of Madrid close to the M-30 and public transportation.
To head the new Business Unit, Daniel Coronel joined GWS as Area Manager in the summer. Daniel has a long and broad experience within wind from both Sarens and Vestas.
The decision to open a business unit in Spain is closely linked to strategic priorities and ambitions.
“We have a clear ambition to keep growing and developing and for us, Spain is the natural next step. We have a strong focus on staying in close proximity to our clients and further strengthen our commercial presence in Spain. With Daniel at the helm I’m confident that the Spanish unit will play an important role in our future journey” said Michael Høj Olsen, CEO of Global Wind Service.
“I’m very happy to join Global Wind Service. I have known and worked with the company for years, and know they have the same high standards for doing business as myself. One of my biggest priorities right now is the recruitment of local Spanish technicians. We have some already, but with our local establishment we would like to increase that number with new skilled colleagues” said Daniel Coronel, Area Manager Spain.
Global Wind Service has worked on many different projects in Spain and installed more than 100 turbines for GE Renewable Energy alone.
